Michelle is a certified court interpreter who also has prior experience working with the FBI as a contract linguist. Prior to becoming a certified interpreter, Michelle was a school teacher with experience in K-12, adult, and higher education. She was recognized by the U.S. National Educators Association for her excellence in teaching and has always been a passionate educator who brings her expertise into the classroom transforming a room into a dynamic learning experience. Michelle obtained a B.A. in social sciences from the University of Puerto Rico and an M.A. in Spanish language and literature from California State University, Fresno. Furthermore, she earned her PhD in educational policy studies from Georgia State University, Atlanta. She remains teaching in higher education and for the Georgia Commission on Interpreters as an orientation instructor.
